Maternity
There is so much strength and beauty in becoming a mother.
Having a maternity session is the perfect way to record this amazing, short-lived journey (even if it never feels it..) that pregnancy takes us on.
Whether this is your first baby, or your fourth, each pregnancy is unique and incredible, and this is a great way to celebrate you and your magnificent body. You can expect taste, class and discretion from me, with all outfits and poses discussed fully prior to the shoot.
My style is very soft and feminine, making the most of beautiful natural light to create gorgeous, natural portraits. The best time for a maternity photo shoot is between 24-32 weeks, when your shape is really starting to show. I can of course do the sessions right up until the 39th week! My sessions are usually an outdoor location of your choice, if the weather allows for it on the day. If possible, I encourage your partner to also be there, for a few frames at least, to capture this special time, and if you already have children they can of course join in too.
What should you wear for your maternity photos?
Choose an outfit with neutral or soft tones to create a timeless, elegant look. Floral prints and lace are also stylish and feminine. Maxi dresses are perfect because they flatter your adorable baby bump and they are so comfortable! The loose, flowing fabric of a long dress creates movement in your photos.
What should your man wear?
Dress him in something classy and simple that compliments your outfit! If your little ones are joining you too they will need simple neutral dress/trousers and tops.
